WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!!! THE RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE was today at school, in the library. i signed up because i met the requirements. also, i'd be saving 3 lives (i they decided to use my blood), and it was something i wanted to experience

11:45 was the time of my appointment. i left in the middle of my physics test, and went to the library, where i found lots of people. anyways, there were 3 basic lines:

line 1: give basic information about yourself
line 2: wait to get interviewed by them, where they also test if you have enough iron in your system
line 3: the line for the actual donation

so this was a slow, slow process. there were only 4 open chairs to give blood, and at times, 1 interviewer...so it really slowed it down

in line, i was next to my old co-worker, so we had plenty of time catching up. watching others give blood, i see various people...some scared, some pale, and some just chillen

3:00pm. FINALLY i made it into the "donation line". usually i'd be out of school at 12:15pm, so i was getting reallly impatient. i get to one of the chairs...they look for my vein. COMPLICATIONS. they find my vein, but say it's small. about all 4 of the nurses look at my arm, deciding whether they should take the chance of taking blood from me. one guy said to another nurse, "i don't know if we should do it...the needle is about the sie of your vien." WOAHH...how did i react? i said to myself, "oh...i'm not worried one bit." HA!! yeah right

so they go on with it, and i'm giving blood. as time passes, my vision becomes more blurry, and suddenly i'm feeling hot. when i'm done, the guy asks how i'm doing. after my brain processed that information 3 seconds later,i tell him that i'm feeling HORRIBLE. i saw them talking to me, but it'd take a few seconds for me to understand. ahhhh.

so they elevate my legs and pack icepacks on my neck, forehead, and under my neck. it seems to have to affect on me. he gives me 2 bottles of water, and suddenly i feel better. i lay on the chair for 5 more minutes, just resting.. he then tells me to lie on the stretcher-like chair. 10 minutes was spent there, then i sat down at the table eating cookies and drinking juice.

after feeling better, i left and went to get my huge calc book at my locker. walking to my locker was no problem. walking to the parking lot was another story....

my legs failed me. i wasn't tired...but i had no physical strength. walking, i took lots of breaks, where i stood and tried to regain energy.

FINALLY, i get to the parking lot. feeling as if i was going to faint, i sat mere 100 feet from my car. i coudn't make it. i put down my backpack and book, and sat in the parking lot, looking at my car. finalllllllllly, 5 minutes later, i made it!!!!!!

OVERVIEW: i doubt i'll ever give blood again. the experience was rechid. i've never felt that bad. yes, i would be saving lives, but in return, i feel as if i was going to die. i'm happy that i did it, but now i know.

NABISCO OREOS this afternoon, i picked up JD at work, since he had no other ride home. we did a few errands, went from store to store. ONCE AGAIN he buys another videogame. sheesh. anyways, at ALBERTSONS, there was a sale for OREOS...BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE. i contemplated, but i shruged the idea off.

i come home and go straight for my bed. as i'm lying down, i get a craving...a badddd craving...FOR OREOS and MILK! ahhh. it was killlllling me!!!!! a whined and whined to myself, wondering whyyyyy in the world i passed those oreos without a second glance. i whined myself to sleep.

a few hours later, mother said she needed a ride to work in order to get something from her friend. after, we went to ALBERTSONS...and i got my oreos. mMmMm...

happy happy, joy joy =]

A PRODUCTIVE SATURDAY saturday was my cotillion practice. despite the fact that about half came, we still had a good practice. Already, we're done with the waltz. The song isn't long, and the moves are easy to catch on. already we're working on the michael Jackson song...so overalll..we're pretty much ahead of schedule.

JD CUT HIS HAIR!!!! his puff ball is gone!!! he went to get a haircut and the person TOTALLY changed his look. she gave him a fade. you see, my bf is not the type of guy that gets a fade and spikes his hair and has that clean look. he's more like the guy you see on the street with hair going here and there. it's cute, but man, it's different.

After practice, we moseyed across the street and chilled at Justine's house. Me, rach, jay and JD played some halo. Then the ohana girls chilled and watched the LINKIN PARK $2 BILL show that they taped. MmMm. Later we just chilled, braided each other's hairs, plucked eyebrows, while munching on chicken nuggets and watching "my big fat Greek wedding." Nice movie. Me like.

ANGELA got all her friends to try CAKE BATTER ICE CREAM FROM COLDSTONE. good job angela! hahaa

RAR! YOU GUYS MAKE ME MAD! damn...i don't understand why some people act like they're soo superior to others...making comments about other people's blogs, calling people "kids". it's so mean. yes, maybe making a "blog", "xanga","livejournal", or "diaryland" is a new trend growing, but the world is full of them. maybe EVERYONE needs an outlet. let them be. although you people have a higher intellect than others, that's shouldn't be a justification for you to demean others. let others live...let them learn...let them grow up. everyone has their own pace in life. no everyone analyzes and has an opinion on everything. just let us be..and do yur thang.

DRAMA WITH MAH MAMA so yeah. there is a lot of tension in my house. mother had an outburst a few nights ago, and we're still on bad terms. usually in the morning, she'd get up and greet me off to school. now, i leave home without that and come home without saying a word. going straight to my room, the next time i'll probably see her is in the morning, peeping into my parent's room, before i go off to school.

rar. my dad, of course, speaks for my mom, telling me to do all the chores my mom purposely didn't do. it's hard. i thought, for once, that our relationship was mended..but once again, we always find a way to bump heads..thus resulting into this.

grrr.

IT'S CRAZY..SO DAMN CRAZY with war going on, and the feelings that i have, i've decided no longer to voice my opinions to you all. i had a realization tonight, and it's sad. irony..

i went to NATE'S blog to catch up with what a missed. to my amazment, i find out that my friend, FREDERICK, is going to IRAQ. it's crazy. he left for the army in the summer of '02, and now he's in IRAQ. in that time period, i think back on my friendship with frederick...meeting him in the summer of '01...chillen with him at the moffet field air base...going with him to my friendship dance last year...i remember that one night, out of the blue he called me after bootcamp

my prayers are out there for the soldiers. i hope for all to have a safe return home. it's a different feeling though when you actually KNOW someone out there. it doesn't really change how you feel, but it hits you more...

frederick..my prayers are with you, as well as all the soldiers out there with you too.

F.A.N.T.A.S.T.I.C.S. it's sunday now, and FANTASTICS was yesterday. we arrived at the CIVIC AUDITORIUM at 10:30, we runned through our "aprox. 30 min skit" 4 TIMES IN ROW, had another run through will all the other classes skits, and at 7:00pm, the event began.

our theme this year was "BOARD GAMES". the seniors got "CLUE", juniors got "RISK", sophomores "JUMANGI", and freshman "CANDYLAND". after waiting for the lowerclassmen to finish their skits...we finally performed for our last time...

not to be concieted, but we were dope!!!! the crowed was cheering during our dances, and especially during our finale. it was such a GOOD ASS feeling. we danced to different songs..and at the end, the characters(or one of the characters) killed mr. body (the rich man) .. ( you don't know because the lights in the auditorium went out)..and their secret was safe...and we just "shaked our thang"....we performed to "sean paul - get busy" ...which led into "missy elliot - gossip folks"..in the end, we formed a "question mark" and continued to dance. it was at that moment when the cheering got louder and i was filled with satisfaction.

THE RESULTS: points come for FANTASTICS come from different aspects: T-SHIRT DESIGNS, TICKET SALES, DECORATIONS, RALLY(at school on friday), AND SKITS...this leads to the OVERALL WINNER.

we got 1st place in : ticket sales, decorations, and of course OUR SKIT....which makes us the overall winnerr!

i'm only bragging because in our previous years, we didn't win. sophomore year we got screwed over because our skit was goooooood. junior year, on the other hand was bad. i guess you can call it the "JUNIOR CURSE" this year, overall, juniors got 3rd place. i guess it's true.

when i was walking around, looking for my bf and friends, friends came up and said "good job"..one of the best feelings though, was when this man, a stranger, patted my shoulder and said "you guys did a good job"...

OHANA came and supported me, justine and rachel, and afterwards, we all went to DENNYS and ate (MINUS CHRIS) we saw some friends there and said hi to them. oh, what a fun night

i woke up...sore...oh so sore...but yet, feeling empty. I MISS yesterday!!!!! i wish we could perform again, but we can't. it was our last perfomance...

but i'm happy. very happy. yesterday was a success. everyone, especially the officers, worked hard..and man, it payed off. =]

3:45am i'm up doing homework. usually at this time i'd be in lala-land, without a worry on my mind. incomplete homework yes...but oooh, precious sleep. like i said last week, DAMN THURSDAYS. Jd's powderpuff game's at 3:30pm, and practice is from 6-10pm. since i won't have much time to do homework that's due on friday, i decided to get a head start. i go online with the intention to get help for calc, but i find myself reading blogs. pft.

muahhaha. angela told me she went to COLDSTONE and got some CAKE BATTER ICECREAM because i was raving about how gooooood it is. hehe. it proves to show that my plan is working. sooooooon, the WHOLEEEE WORLDDDD will be consuming all the cake batter icecream on earth. yes..everyone..all you readers...CAKE BATTER ICECREAM..with Graham Cracker Pie Crust...MmMmM..

I wannnnnna go to lollapaloozaaaaa!!!! ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

WAR ON IRAQ WEDNESDAY NIGHT. MARCH 19, 2003. we are at war. i come home from practice, turn on my tv and learn the news of the decapitation strike that was launched. i was PLEASED when i saw that MTV wasn't broadcasting their regular programs, but they were covering the war for a while. i know there are people out there that are mad that there is nothing really to watch on tv, and i'm disgusted by them. ignorance.

yeah, i know..it may seem that i'm overreacting. yes, i am. we are at war. INNOCENT people will die. people ranging from 8 year old kids to 80 year old seniors may die. they don't deserve to die that way. BUSH said in a press conference, something that goes like: "i know this is going to be broadcasted and translated in IRAQ, and i want to say something to the civilians: i'm sorry..it's not you who this war is aimed to..it's your leader". yes, it was nice of him to make it clear, but damn..how messed up. he's basically saying: "hey, i'm trying to kill sadaam. if i kill you..sorry".

as i'm watching CNN right now, i see the footage of the first strikes that were taken on baghdad. all i can imagine are the people who live in that city...quarantened into their homes...hearing of loud missles...scared for their lives..praying.

yeah yeah..after this, you may have a different opinion on me. i just neeeeed to vent. i'm surrounded by some people who are for the war..and i still don't think it's right.

saddam is going to address iraq soon. bye.

HI ALL anyways, the weekend was kool. afterschool on friday, me and rach had a "WEBCAM SESSION". *pics will be up soon* but yeah, what a hoot. give me and rach TAPE and SHARPIES and we'll do wonders with it. JD came over during all this so he made som "guest appearances". ha

saturday was nice. i made jd watch WILLARD with me. hhehe. it was ok. in dire need if pants due to the holes that are in them, mom gave me money to buy a new pair. it was then in old navy when i noticed that it wa the first time in a long time that i bought clothes. it's all good. i'm fine with the ones i got. although i want more, i don't need more.

chato (jd's younger bro) has a friend that's been stealing stuff for a price. i haven't seen him, but only heard of him. NO, he doesn't steal candy or school supplies, but he steals VIDEO GAME ACCESSORIES. so far, for JD, he's stolen.... 4 WIRELESS GAMECUBE CONTROLLERS and 2 MEMORY CARDS . and that's only for JD. oh yeah, he also stole 2 other memory cards for our friend. those items don't sell at a low price. anyways, he steals all these stuff from TARGET. what amazes me is that he's in 8th grade. he knows who else he steals for. what a shame

i've been watching BRING IT ON, CAN'T HARDLY WAIT, AND 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU all day long. ooohhh yeahhhhh. too bad JAWBREAKER AND NEVER BEEN KISSED weren't on today. oh how i love the USA movie lineup. =]

STUPID THURSDAYS Thursdays suck. They are always the day before Friday. Friday is the day of the week when mostly BIG ASSIGNMENTS are due..and test days. I think teachers have a conspiracy against the students. I betcha they plan to make all their assignments due on a certain day so that students will suffer for their foolish classroom antics.....yeah...i'm sure of it.

"Studies show that lack of sleep can lead to weight gain -- and getting enough can help you lose." pshhhh. no wonder!

HECTIC, YEAH? what a busy day. not only did i get toasted, sweated a lot, and ate a lot, i come home to a backpack full of homeworkkkkk!! after school, while watching MAURY, i ate some food mama bought me. while watching, i fell asleep. during this sleep, mother tried waking me up so i could go back to school. i had a CSF event. so i went to the track meet at school and moved the hurdles where they were needed. POOPED. i got toasted and worn out. soon after that was FANTASTICS PRACTICE

FANTASTICS is on SATURDAY, MARCH 22, 2003. same as last year, it's location is in DOWNTOWN SAN JOSE, at the CIVIC CENTER. it's open to the public with a price of $10 bucks. YEP, i know..DAMN too much. its coming down to it, and we still need to learn some dances. after practicing a moderate dance, and doing the dances consecutively, i find my heart speeding, and my energy decreasing..(symptoms of an out-of-shape person).

"can i have some large FREEDOM FRIES?" did any of you hear about the possible name change of FRENCH FRIES? ha.

I'M AT SCHOOL so for PHYSICS, my teacher decides that since he's not going to be here for 3 days, he wants us to do a paper on a physicists. the stupid thing about it is that we copy it straight from the internet. COPY AND PASTE. he wants it in a format though. biography, theories..etc. AHHHHHHHH. what a waste of my time. ahhh pooeeey

WAR WITH IRAQ so it's coming down to it....war. it seems like the only reason some people are worried about the upcoming war with iraq is the affect it's going to have on gas prices. that just proves to show how ignorant people can be. it's really pissing me off. i'm basically scared of what the future holds for me...for everyone. will this war be a war with little devastation? or one where the US, CALIFORNIA, SAN JOSE, or MY HOME has the potential of being destroyed? how about NORTH KOREA? will they play any part in this upcoming war? you may think i'm overblowing this topic, but seriously, you don't know what's gonna happen. i don't know...and i'm scared. we'll just have to wait.

LENT so yesterday marked the beginning of lent. before practice, me and justine went to mass and received the mark of the cross on our foreheads. i payed special attention to father kevin during the mass. after serious deliberation, i've decided that i'm going to make changes, not only for jesus, but also in hope that i could change my lifestyle.

i'm going to fast. i'm going to skip breakfast and lunch, and have a moderate dinner. i'm not going to have any snacks. when i feel that pain, that hunger, i'm going to pray. my main intention is not because i want to lose weight. nobody's intention should be that. it's something i need to teach myself. along with that, no red meat. my relationship with my parents is something i need to mend. it needs to change. it's sad that it's only starting now, but better now than later

HIGH SCHOOL EXIT EXAM 3 days out of this week, sophomores and juniors are taking tests. since the exit exam was enforced a year after c/o 2003, seniors have been privileged not to take it. because of that, in relation to your school schedule, you don't have to be a school till 10:20am, or even 11am. thinking that i can sleep in and get more rested, i still find myself waking up 6:30am. *sigh*. maybe tomorrow.

ps. boyfriend bought his game cube yesterday. spoiled me asked if i can borrow it for a day. sweet boyfriend said yes. now i must perfect my MARIO PARTY skills so i can beat the guys.

MUSTTTTTTTTTTT

TRAINNNNNNNNNNNN

MYSELFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!

ok. i've got about 3 hours till school. must go back to calculus homework now

SATURDAY so saturday was a bittersweet day. mother and i woke up early to check out another hall we found. PFT! it stinked. it had a big stage and a bar, but shoooooot, the neighboring places were dirty, as well as itself. with the pics i took from jd's camera, it looks good, but yuck, it's not.

after that was fantastics practice. the weather was annoying. it'd be hot one time, and windy the next minute. i hate that weather. stupid clouds

anyways, practice for my cotillion was at 5pm. i called everyone before, and everyone said they could come. a few days before saturday, i started gettin calls from people. it's kool, at least they told me instead of not showing. dre had his military ball, told me he couldn't come, but surprsed me and came for a bit. yay.

so yea, only 3 people didn't come. we went over the waltz. chilled. people started leaving. me and other folks just chilled, played cards, played with the guitars. after, we just head out to justine's family party. mmm. food.

so yesterday was a long day, and after, i slept for 12 hours. woohooooo! i needed it.
